I know you're excited to hear another video about time management. No. Okay, good. Because this isn't about that. I want to talk today about time prioritization. Hey, my name is Chance Brown. I'm the broker owner of CB&A Realtors. I make video content like this for real estate agents because I'm passionate about helping them build great businesses. And part of that is prioritizing the things that matter in your business. Have you ever had one of those days where at the end of the day you're just exhausted and you were busy that day, but you don't feel like you really accomplished anything? I want you to not have those days. I want you to be busy. I want you to be tired at the end of the day, but I want you to do so knowing that you did a bunch of stuff that made an impact in your business.
So, a few things come into that. First and foremost, you have to know what the things are that make an impact in your business. Number two is you've got to know what the goal is to impact. So we got to start with our goal setting. That should be easy. It should be part of our business plan. That should already be done. Now we have to look at what are the activities that get me to that goal. And let's just put blinders on. Nothing else is going to distract me. I'm going to schedule time in my day that is wholly focused. I'm turning my phone off. I'm shutting my email down. I'm closing the Facebook window. Whatever that looks like. And I'm going to focus on that thing. And it doesn't have to be for an enormous amount of time, but we have to prioritize it. We can't let all the other stuff that happens in our day come in and beat that thing up. We take our goal, we reverse engineer it to the things that have to be done every day, every week, every month. We schedule that time and it is non-negotiable time.
It has to happen. You can't make excuses for it. It's the easiest thing to do. I didn't get to make my phone calls today because you let that happen because you didn't prioritize the impactful activity that has to happen in order for you to build your business. So, no more excuses. Wipe them off the table. Whether you do it at 9:00 a.m. or you do it at 9:00 p.m., it has to get done. If you do this, you will positively impact your business. You will crush your goals and you will build a far better business. But more importantly, if you do this, you are going to change the way your brain works. And when you change the way your brain works, it is a paradigm shift in everything in your life. Everything in your life gets affected by this. We want to change the brain chemistry from I don't have time for this to I haven't prioritized this because and give yourself a reason why you're letting yourself fail. Can you do that and feel okay about it? The answer should be no. And so let's not get to a place where we have to give oursel a reason we failed. Let's prioritize the things that are important in our business. Let's not let other things impact them. Let's create focused time around them. Put our blinders on and get to work. At the end of the day, you will have been busy. And guess what? You'll have been busy doing the things that are going to help you grow your business and that are more importantly going to help you grow as a human
