There are a million ways that you can run your business, but I want to talk about some systems today that I don't think agents are using at a high enough level. All of these systems are designed to help you move your business to the next level. Hey, my name is Chance Brown. I'm the broker owner of CB&A Realtors and I make video content for agents because I'm passionate about helping them build great businesses. There are so many options out there for agents between softwares for this and technologies for that and now AI for this and that and whatever that I think it's easy to get caught up in a trap of oh I need all these things or I don't need all these things but I think that there are some that are musthaves. I think that there are very few agents that are treating them that way. So I kind of want to take a few minutes on four different systems that you just have to have in this business. I'm going to start with number one because it is the number one in my opinion and that is a CRM. If you aren't using a CRM, I don't really think that you're in this business for the long haul. And there are a couple of reasons for that. Number one, your CRM is going to save you and create more transactions than you can count. How many times have you ever had seen somebody out there that you knew that's a friend or whatever family member even sometimes that went and bought or sold a home and didn't use you? There's a chance that that's because they hadn't interacted with you recently in any way, shape, or form, whether it's an email, a text, a phone call, whatever. And your CRM makes that go away because it automates those things. It's a force multiplier when it comes to your time. The other thing that CRM is is your exit strategy. If you ever want to retire from real estate, your CRM is your asset because if it's really dialed in and it's working and it's producing income on a regular basis, that is something you can sell to someone else. And that's important. I think if you're looking at this for the long haul, that's something you have to have in place. Number two, some sort of content delivery. We live in a very fragmented world with a very, very short attention span. Now, we are at the end of the day kind of arbiters of of attention. And so, you have to be putting things out in that world that keeps your name fresh. Doesn't mean that you have to have a full studio setup and have professional equipment and things like that, but you've got to be delivering content to the people that matter. And if the people that matter are people that are just in your phone book and you're doing video texts to them or you're doing some sort of content library to them, great. Do you have to be everywhere to everybody for everything on social media? No, you don't. But you do need to know where your audience lives. And you need to deliver regular, fresh, applicable content to those people, things that matter to them today. If you're not sure what that is, use your AI tools to help you find out what that is. We do that sitting down to do this content. We look at what are real estate agents searching for on YouTube. What are real estate agents searching for in ChachiPT? We look for that and doesn't necessarily create the content, but it helps us guide our decision-making on what we want to create here. Number three, project management. Generally speaking, and I don't know if I'm talking to you, real estate agents tend to be really long on ideas and really short on execution. And what ends up happening is you've got this to-do list with a bunch of projects on it that are all 70% complete, but they never actually get to the finish line. There are really serious project management softwares out there and there's really simple ways of doing this. The way that I have done it is something that I learned from Tom Ferry like 15 years ago called a dod doing board. You can Google it and it helps me prioritize the things that I need to get done in my business and then actually go out and get them done. So I'm not focusing on 15 things. I'm focusing just on the couple that are the most important right now until they're completely finished. I highly recommend that you have some sort of project management in place. Last one is a time management system. We are busy. We get pulled in a million different directions and I understand that. But you have to have dedicated focused work time. If you don't, you'll never get ahead of the things that are right there in front of you all the time. You'll be working in your business 100% of the time instead of working on your business. And there has to be a healthy mix of both. I would implore you whether you do it on a Sunday night before the week starts and you plan out your week or you just have blocks already built in, but you have to have focused work time. They don't have to be the same time every day, but I think that it helps to create something of a rhythm there. Just make sure you're time blocking. Just make sure you're you're managing your time in a way that not only provides great service to your clients, but make sure that you're doing the things for your business for the long term. So again, just a quick recap.
We need to dial in our CRM. We have to get it automated. We have to save ourselves that time and not let things slip through the crack while we build an amazing asset for the end of our career. Number two, we're going to create content. And it doesn't matter what that looks like or feels like or anything else. Get it out and get it in front of people so that they're consistently seeing your name because they're going to interact with the people that they've interacted with most recently. Number three, have a project management system so you're consistently moving your business forward in a way that is meaningful. And last but not least, you control your schedule. You don't let the outside world control it. Hope that's helpful. I I think these are things that really just help us focus in on what moves our business in the right direction without getting distracted by all the other stuff in the atmosphere of real estate, which is easy to do.
