Investigate Disability Insurance - Weekend Challenge

From the archive. I first wrote this in January 2014 on my old blog. Some of the tools, names, and numbers have changed since, but most of it holds up.
Most responsible adults have life insurance. If you don't, stop reading this and go get some.
What would happen, though, if you got sick, injured, or had a debilitating medical problem? What would happen to your business? How would you pay the bills? Now, there's no doubt that anyone reading this has most likely seen those obnoxious commercials with the speaking duck. Disability insurance helps offset the lost income if you get a long-term illness or injury. It is a huge safety net, especially if you are the bread winner in your family and/or your injury would cost your spouse their ability to earn.
Take some time and look into it. Better to be safe than sorry.
